How to correctly measure the length of the footwear?
Correctly measuring both feet is the first important step to choosing the right shoes!
The following method is the most suitable for measuring foot length:
- place a piece of paper on the floor close to a wall or some steps, and tape it down
- place your foot on the paper with the heel touching the wall
- your toes must always be straight and you should put your weight on the measured foot
- mark the place where the longest toe ends on the paper
- then measure the length of the foot with a ruler
Always measure both feet as one may be longer than the other!

The robust shoes from the Slovak manufacturer Protetika are an ideal model that can be used during variable autumn weather, but due to its structure, higher cut and PRO-TEX membrane, they will also be a suitable choice for less cold winters.
Upper that withstands the rigours of the weather
The upper of the shoes is made of a combination of several materials. It consists of brushed brown leather with white fibres present. Nubuk leather and fabric are also present. Khaki colour predominates, which is complemented by an orange detail above the ankle and a reflective strip on the instep. A very important part is the PRO-TEX membrane, which prevents water from penetrating inside the shoes while maintaining the breathability of the shoes.
Soft interior for comfort and warmth
Inside, the shoes are lined with a soft light grey textile lining, which significantly increases comfort, gently absorbs moisture and allows the feet to breathe at the same time. The heel is gently reinforced, increasing the stability of the feet.
Arch support for healthy foot development
Also appreciated is the fact that the shoes have a removable leather insole with arch support — important for the correct ergonomic development of a child's foot. The sole is thick, flexible in the direction of walking and in a practical light grey colour for maintenance.
