How to correctly measure the length of the footwear?
Correctly measuring both feet is the first important step to choosing the right shoes!
The following method is the most suitable for measuring foot length:
- place a piece of paper on the floor close to a wall or some steps, and tape it down
- place your foot on the paper with the heel touching the wall
- your toes must always be straight and you should put your weight on the measured foot
- mark the place where the longest toe ends on the paper
- then measure the length of the foot with a ruler
Always measure both feet as one may be longer than the other!

Children's canvas shoes of Slovak production
These beautiful lightweight pink canvas shoes come from the workshop of the company Rak. They have a flexible and springy rubber sole that is significantly raised at the toe and protects the shoes from premature damage.
The upper is made of natural brushed leather (velour). The leather has a dark pink to fuchsia colour. The trim is also pink, but the shade is different and creates a nice but subtle contrast. The stitching is in pink thread.
The inner lining is made of 100% cotton, which is thin. The shoes are therefore also suitable for use during warm spring or summer days. The heel is not doubled as is customary with Rak shoes, but a gentle reinforcement is between the outer and inner part.
The insole is removable, leather and has an element to support the natural development of the arch. The manufacturer states that water-soluble adhesive was used in the production of the insole, which has more favourable properties in terms of harmful substances. The fastening is very practical, simple and quick, using two buckles with Velcro fasteners.
