Knitting and hosiery production in the town of Svit under the Tatra Mountains has a more than 85-year tradition. The Czech entrepreneur Tomáš Baťa was the founder of the company and the knitting production tradition. The first hosiery knitting machines were installed in 1934. Today, TATRASVIT SVIT - SOCKS, a.s., a joint-stock company based in Svit, continues this production tradition.
