The plant of the future, or the lemon tree of the north, is sometimes called sea buckthorn because it naturally contains a high proportion of vitamin C, up to 25 times more than citrus fruits. The whole sea buckthorn plant is exceptional due to its content of a wide range of biologically active substances. Sea buckthorn fruits - orange berries with a sour taste - contain provitamin A, vitamins B1, B2, B6, C, E, K1 and F. Flavonoids are also an active ingredient. Moreover, it is a natural source of carotenoids, and richer than one of the richest sources - carrots and pumpkin.
