Sanorin 0.5‰ causes constriction of inflamed dilated blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, leading to a reduction in mucosal swelling and the release of mucus from the nose, paranasal sinuses and the tube connecting the middle ear and pharynx (Eustachian tube). This will allow free breathing through the nose. The therapeutic effect usually occurs within 5 minutes and lasts 4-6 hours when applied to the nose.
