Description: Ibalgin gel 5% 100 g
The drug contains the drug ibuprofen, which has an anti-inflammatory effect. It is suitable for the treatment of local manifestations of rheumatic and non-rheumatic painful conditions of the musculoskeletal system. It reduces inflammation in the affected area, reduces swelling and suppresses pain.
The drug is used for local treatment of inflammation of joint capsules, inflammation of tendons and muscle tendons, for local treatment in rheumatic diseases, in painful conditions in degenerative joint diseases, in superficial vein diseases, for treatment of post-traumatic conditions and consequences of sports injuries such as swellings, contusions, sprains, injuries of soft parts of joints.
Dosage and dosage schedules
Adults and children from 12 years of age: a 4-10 cm long strip of dermal gel is applied to the affected area 3-4 times a day. The amount of dermal gel needed depends on the size of the affected area.
The time interval between applications should be 3-4 hours.
For severe pain, it is advisable to supplement the treatment with the general administration of ibuprofen-containing tablets.
If the injuries do not subside within 7 days or, on the contrary, worsen or side effects of the drug appear, it is necessary to discontinue therapy and seek medical attention. The drug should not be used for more than 14 days.
In inflammatory rheumatic diseases and diseases of the veins, the drug is used mostly for 2-3 weeks.
Method of use
The dermal gel is easily rubbed into the skin. After applying the medicine to the affected area, hand washing is recommended (unless the hands are to be the site of application). It must not be used on open wounds, on mucous membranes and in the eyes.
Notice
During the first and second trimesters of pregnancy, it should only be applied for serious reasons and not to a large area of skin or for a long period of time. In the third trimester of pregnancy, the drug should not be used.
In the period of breastfeeding, the dermal gel can be used for a short time on small areas.
The drug should not be used in children under 12 years of age.
The drug must not be used in patients prone to asthma attack, urticaria or allergic rhinitis after administration of acetylsalicylic acid or certain anti-inflammatory drugs.
Simultaneous application of other topical agents to the same site is not recommended.
It is not recommended to dilute or mix the drug with another gel base.
Increased skin sensitivity to sunlight may occur.
The drug contains propylene glycol, which can cause skin irritation, and ethanol (alcohol).
Store at temperatures up to 25 °C.
