Talcid

Description: Talcid

The medicine is for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age to treat symptoms of heartburn and indigestion caused by excessive stomach acid (such as a feeling of fullness and pain in the abdomen).

Used for:

• sudden and prolonged inflammation of the stomach lining (gastritis)
• gastric and duodenal ulcers
• diseases in which the acidic contents of the stomach return to the oesophagus (gastroesophageal reflux)

Method of use

Dosage and dosage schedules

Adults and children from 12 years of age:

Heartburn and indigestion caused by overacidity
If necessary (when symptoms of discomfort occur), 1-2 tablets are administered. The total daily dose of 12 tablets should not be exceeded.

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acute and chronic gastritis
It is administered 1-2 tablets at bedtime and at the manifestation of symptomatic discomfort. The total daily dose of 12 tablets should not be exceeded.

Gastric and duodenal ulcers
Take 2 tablets 3-4 times a day and at bedtime. The total daily dose of 12 tablets should not be exceeded. Treatment should be continued for at least 4 weeks after the symptoms have completely disappeared (only on the advice of a doctor).

If the patient does not feel better or feels worse within 14 days, he must contact the doctor.
Treatment is symptomatic. In case of insufficient effectiveness or when frequent application is necessary, it is necessary to consult the problem with a doctor.

Method of use

Chewable tablets are taken between meals (at least 1-2 hours apart from meals). Chewable tablets should be chewed before swallowing.

Notice

During pregnancy, the drug can be used only on the recommendation of a doctor and only for a short period of time.
In the period of breastfeeding, the use of the drug should be consulted with a doctor.
With severe renal impairment, the drug is contraindicated.
The drug must not be taken concomitantly with foods containing acids (wine, fruit juices and the like).
The drug must not be taken concomitantly with other drugs whose absorption may be affected by concomitant administration. As a rule, other drugs are given at least 1-2 hours before or after taking the above medicine.
