The use of Duofilm leads to a controlled erosion of keratin (the layer of tough thick skin on the surface of the wart). The drug should therefore only be used on warts.

The drug is usually applied 1 time a day. Before use, it is advisable to immerse the wart sites in warm water for 5 minutes, dry them and lightly wipe their surface with a pumice stone. The solution is applied with a brush or stick directly on the affected areas (not on the surrounding skin!) and allowed to dry (if the warts are on the legs, they should be covered with a plaster).

The drug is used daily until the warts completely disappear (usually 6 - 12 weeks).
