Indications: Calcium Chloratum-TEVA is used to cover increased calcium needs, especially during the growth period in children, during convalescence, pregnancy and breastfeeding. On the doctor's advice, it is used as part of the treatment for thinning or softening of bones, to speed up the healing of fractures and as a supportive treatment for allergic reactions, inflammatory diseases and diseases manifested by tingling of the fingers or tongue, or in more severe cases by painful muscle spasms (tetany).
Contraindications: do not take Calcium Chloratum-TEVA: when you are hypersensitive (allergic) to Calcium Chloratum-TEVA or any of the other ingredients of Calcium Chloratum-TEVA, when you have increased parathyroid gland activity, when you have vitamin D hypervitaminosis (excess vitamin D), when you have a tumor with bone decalcification, when you have kidney stones, when you have excessive calcium deposition in your tissues (e.g. when you have insufficient kidney function.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking any medicine. Calcium Chloratum-TEVA may be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding on the advice of a physician.
Dosage: Always take Calcium Chloratum-TEVA exactly as directed by your doctor. If you are unsure about something, check with your doctor or pharmacist. The usual dose is: Children:
- up to 1 year - 1/2 teaspoon 1 times a day
- 1- 6 years - 1 teaspoon 1 times a day
- 6 -15 years - 2 teaspoons 1 time a day.
Adults usually take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day. For osteoporosis (thinning of bones), 1-2 tablespoons 3 times a day, according to tolerance. There must be an interval of at least 3 hours between doses.
The drug is administered with a spoon and washed down with a sufficient amount of drink. It is not recommended to be washed down with milk drinks. It is taken 1 hour before meals. Without consulting a doctor, the drug can be taken for a maximum of 1 year. Children under 6 years of age can take the drug only on the advice of a doctor.
