Description: Panadol Baby sup 125 mg 1x10 pcs
The medicine contains paracetamol, which is a painkiller (analgesic) and fever reducer (antipyretic).
The drug is prescribed to reduce fever accompanying influenza and colds, as well as infectious diseases of childhood (eg, measles, rubella, chickenpox, scarlet fever, mumps) and vaccinations.
The drug is also suitable for the relief of pain accompanying teething, toothache, sore throat and headache. More at adc.sk
Use
Dosage and dosage schedules
1 suppository contains 125 mg of paracetamol.
The drug is intended for use in children with a body weight of 9 kg and above.
Children with a body weight of 9-14 kg: 1 suppository is applied.
Children with a body weight of 15-20 kg: 2 suppositories are applied.
Single dose is 10 - 15 mg/kg
Individual doses may be repeated as needed every 6 hours. The minimum interval between two doses is 4 hours. Do not administer more than 4 doses in 24 hours.
The total daily dose shall not exceed 60 mg/kg body weight.
Without consulting a doctor, the drug should not be given to children for more than 3 days.
Patients with renal impairment: individual doses should be administered at least 8 hours apart.
Method of use
The drug is intended for insertion into the rectum only. The suppository needs to be stripped of its wrapper and gently inserted into the rectum. After inserting the suppository, press the buttocks together with your hand for 1-2 minutes and make sure that the suppository remains in the rectum.
Notice
The drug is not indicated for children with a body weight up to 9 kg.
The drug is contraindicated in patients with severe renal and hepatocellular insufficiency.
Do not administer to patients after a recent rectal bleed.
Paracetamol should be administered with increased caution in patients with glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase enzyme deficiency
Do not concomitantly administer other paracetamol-containing medicines.
Store at temperatures up to 25 °C. Do not store in the freezer.
Do not drink alcohol.
