The drug contains the drug omeprazole. It belongs to a group of drugs called "proton pump inhibitors". They work by reducing the amount of acid produced by the stomach.

The medicine is used in adults for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (e.g. heartburn and the return of acidic stomach contents to the mouth (regurgitation)).

Reflux is caused by acid returning from the stomach back into the oesophagus, which can become inflamed and painful because of this. This can cause symptoms such as a painful burning sensation in the chest rising up to the mouth (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).

Method of use

Dosage and dosage schedules

In the case of using a dose of 10 mg of omeprazole, it is necessary to choose another drug with a lower strength.

Without consulting a doctor:

Symptomatic treatment of reflux in adults

The recommended dose is 1 tablet (20 mg) once daily for 14 days. It may be necessary to take the tablets for the next 2 - 3 days to achieve an improvement in symptoms.

Most patients experience complete resolution of pyrosis symptoms within 7 days. If the symptoms disappear completely, the treatment should be stopped. If the patient does not feel better or feels worse within 14 days, he must contact the doctor.

Only on the advice and under the supervision of a physician:

With amoxicillin and metronidazole or tinidazole, 2 capsules (40 mg) of omeprazole are given once daily.
If the patient is still positive for H. pylori, treatment in either regimen can be repeated.
