The drug is used without a doctor's recommendation for the prevention and treatment of nausea and vomiting when traveling by means of transport (car, train, plane, ship). On the recommendation of a doctor, the drug can also be used for nausea and dizziness of various origins (in Meniere's disease). It is also used in the treatment of nausea caused by a disorder of the vestibular apparatus (the organ of perception of balance in the ear).
Method of use
Dosage and dosage schedules
The dosage and duration of treatment are individual and depend on the indication, clinical picture and sensitivity of the patient.
Adults:
take 1 tablet 60 minutes before the start of the journey, for long journeys take ½ - 1 tablet at intervals of 2 - 3 hours. For the treatment of sudden-onset kinetosis, 2 tablets are taken once, with insufficient effect, then at intervals of 30 minutes ½ - 1 tablet for a maximum of 4 tablets. For sudden vomiting, do not administer the initial dose of 2 tablets at once, but divide it into 4 doses a few minutes apart.
Children and adolescents up to 15 years of age:
For children aged 2 to 6 years, take ¼ tablet and for children aged 6 to 15 years, take ¼ - ½ tablet 60 minutes before the start of the journey. For prolonged travel, the dose may be repeated at intervals of 2-3 hours.
Meniere's disease and other vestibular disorders:
Adult recumbent patients take 2-4 tablets 2-3 times daily, others are given 8 tablets daily.
In case of a missed dose, do not take a double dose.
Method of use
The tablets are taken with sufficient liquid. The tablet can be divided into two or four equal doses. In case of problems with swallowing the tablet in the paediatric population, the tablet can be crushed and given on a spoon mixed with liquid. The effect of food on the rate and intensity of the effect is not reported.
Notice
Taking the drug during pregnancy and breastfeeding is contraindicated.
The drug is contraindicated in children under 2 years of age.
The drug adversely affects attention. Patients should not drive, operate machinery, or work at heights during treatment.
Do not consume alcohol while taking the medicine.
The drug may affect the results of allergen skin tests, so this medication should be discontinued a few days before the tests.
The drug contains lactose.
