REGULAX picosulfate
Description: REGULAX picosulfate
The drug contains the drug disodium triumpicosulfate, which is a locally acting laxative. In the large intestine, it prevents water absorption and increases the excretion of water into the intestinal contents, leading to a softening of stool consistency and an increase in stool volume.
It is used in the short term for constipation and diseases in which it is desirable to facilitate the emptying of stool. Like other laxatives, it should not be taken daily or for prolonged periods of time without a medical examination of the cause of constipation.
Method of use
Dosage and dosage schedules:
1 ml of the solution (equivalent to 20 drops) contains 7,5 mg of disodium triumpicosulfate monohydrate (equivalent to 7,23 mg of disodium triumpicosulfate).
Unless otherwise advised by a physician, adults and children over 12 years of age should take 14 - 27 drops at one time (equivalent to 5 - 10 mg of disodium triumpycosulfate).
Children aged 4 to 11 years should take 7-14 drops once (equivalent to 2.5-5 mg of disodium tripyripyrifosulphate) (see section 4.3 of the SPC).
