The drug contains the drug naproxen sodium. It is a remedy for relieving various kinds of pain, for treating inflammatory diseases and reducing fever.

The drug relieves:

• headache, toothache;
• migraine;
• pain after injuries (sprains, contusions);
• postoperative pain (in trauma surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology, jaw surgery);
• gynaecological pain (pain and cramps during menstruation, pain when inserting an intrauterine device);
• back pain.

The drug is used in infectious diseases as an adjunctive treatment to relieve muscle and joint pain, inflammation and reduce fever. More at adc.sk

Dosage and dosage schedules

Usual daily dose: 1 tablet every 8 - 12 hours. A double dose may be taken to start, either 2 tablets at a time or a 2nd tablet may be taken an hour apart after the first.

Patients over 65 years: 1 tablet every 12 hours.

When self-medicating, the daily recommended dose of 3 tablets should not be exceeded.

The maximum total daily dose is 6 tablets (1650 mg).

The drug, without consulting a doctor, is intended only for short-term treatment. If the fever does not go down within 3 days, or if the patient does not feel better or feels worse within 10 days, it is necessary to contact your doctor.

Method of use

The tablets are taken whole, independently of food and washed down with plenty of liquid.

Notice

The drug is contraindicated in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy. During the 1st and 2nd trimesters, the drug should not be given unless absolutely necessary (doctor's decision). If the medicine is used in women who want to become pregnant or during the 1st and 2nd trimesters, the dose should be as low as possible and the length of treatment as short as possible.
In lactating women, the drug is contraindicated.
In children with a body weight of less than 50 kg, the drug is contraindicated.
With severe hepatic or renal impairment, the drug is contraindicated.
When taking the drug in combination with alcohol, the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding increases.
Do not drink alcohol.
A photosensitive reaction may occur during treatment.
The drug contains sodium.
