The drug is an anti-flu and cold remedy and is intended for children from 6 to 12 years old. The drug contains three drugs:
- paracetamol, a painkiller that also lowers body temperature in fever,
- phenylephrine hydrochloride, a decongestant (a decongestant that reduces nasal congestion) from the sympathomimetics group, which relieves nasal and sinus congestion and thus helps to ease breathing,
- ascorbic acid (vitamin C), a common ingredient in flu and cold medicines, which is in the medicine to help replace vitamin C, which may be in short supply in the early stages of flu and colds.
The drug provides quick relief of flu and cold symptoms including fever, chills, stuffy nose, headache, muscle and joint pain, sore throat, sinusitis and associated pain. More at adc.sk
Dosage and dosage schedules
Children from 6 to 12 years old:
Administer 1 sachet as needed every 4-6 hours. The interval between doses should not be less than 4 hours. The highest single dose is 1 bag. The maximum total daily dose is 4 sachets.
Duration of treatment:
The drug is intended only for short-term treatment, without consulting a doctor for no longer than 3 days. If there is no improvement in symptoms (fever, pain) within 3 days, or if, on the contrary, the symptoms worsen, new symptoms or unusual reactions occur, it is necessary to consult a doctor for further treatment.
Patients with reduced renal function:
It is recommended to extend the interval between doses. For moderate renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance 10-50 ml/min) the minimum interval between two doses should be 6 hours, for severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance < 10 ml/min) the minimum interval between two doses should be 8 hours.
Method of use
Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet in a cup of hot water (approximately 125 ml). Stir well until dissolved. Add cold water and sugar or honey to taste. A warm drink is given to the child. The relationship to food is not mentioned.
Notice
Children under 6 years of age should not be given the medicine.
During pregnancy, it is not advisable to use the drug.
Due to the lack of data, it is better to avoid administration of the drug during breastfeeding.
The drug should not be taken by patients with high blood pressure or with heart or blood vessel disease.
The drug must not be taken by patients with severe hepatic insufficiency and/or acute hepatitis.
Do not take other medicines for flu and colds or medicines to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa (decongestants) and especially other medicines containing paracetamol at the same time as this medicine.
The drug may cause dizziness in some patients.
Do not drink alcohol.
The drug contains sucrose.
The drug contains 56.43 mg of sodium in 1 sachet.
