Ambroxolium chloride, the active ingredient of this drug, increases the secretion of mucus from the respiratory tract, facilitates its expectoration and relieves coughing.
The drug is intended for secretory (facilitating expectoration) treatment in acute and chronic bronchial and pulmonary diseases accompanied by impaired formation of bronchial mucus and its difficult transport and excretion. More at adc.sk

Dosage and dosage schedules

Adults and children from 12 years: 10 ml 2 times a day
This dosage is appropriate for the treatment of acute respiratory diseases and for the initial treatment of chronic conditions lasting less than 14 days.

In children under 12 years of age, the following dosage regimen is recommended depending on the severity of the disease:
Children from 6 to 12 years: 2.5 ml 2 - 3 times a day
Children from 2 to 6 years: 1.25 ml 3 times a day
Children from 1 to 2 years: 1.25 ml 2 times a day

In case the patient forgets to take a dose of the medicine, he should take it as soon as he remembers. Do not take a double dose.
The drug is to be discontinued after symptoms have subsided. If the symptoms of the disease do not improve or if they worsen, it is necessary to contact a doctor.

Method of use

The drug can be taken with or without food.
The bottle has a safety cap that prevents children from opening it. The syrup is opened by pushing the cap down firmly and unscrewing it counterclockwise. After the syrup is administered, the bottle should be closed again.

Notice

The drug is not recommended in pregnancy, especially during the first 3 months.
Taking the drug is not recommended for nursing mothers.
In case of impaired kidney function or severe hepatopathy, the drug can be taken only after consulting a doctor.
