The herbal medicine contains the active ingredient ivy leaf extract (dry extract of ivy leaves), which loosens mucus in the respiratory tract and facilitates coughing.
The drug is used to treat acute inflammation of the respiratory tract accompanied by coughing and to treat chronic bronchitis. More at adc.sk
Dosage and dosage schedules
Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 5 ml of solution 3 times a day
(equivalent to 105 mg of dry ivy leaf extract or 35 mg of dry ivy leaf extract per dose).
Children from 6 to 12 years: 5 ml of solution twice a day
(equivalent to 70 mg of dry ivy leaf extract or 35 mg of dry ivy leaf extract per dose).
Children from 0 to 5 years: 2.5 ml of solution 2 times a day
(equivalent to 35 mg of dry ivy leaf extract or 17.5 mg of dry ivy leaf extract per dose).
The length of treatment depends on the type and severity of the clinical condition. However, treatment should last at least one week even for mild respiratory infections. Treatment should be continued for 2-3 days after the symptoms have subsided to ensure its success.
Method of use
The syrup is dosed using the provided measuring cup, independently of food. The syrup should be taken at a dosage of 3 times a day in the morning, at lunch and in the evening, and at a dosage of 2 times a day in the morning and in the evening. The recommended daily dose should not be exceeded. During treatment, it is necessary to ensure an adequate supply of fluids.
Notice
The drug can be used during pregnancy and lactation only after consulting a doctor.
Infants under 12 months can be given the drug only after consulting a doctor.
If dyspnoea, fever or purulent sputum appears, your doctor or pharmacist should be consulted.
The drug contains sorbitol. If the drug is taken according to the dosage instructions, at a dose of 2.5 ml the patient takes 0.96 g of sorbitol, and at a dose of 5 ml - 1.9 g of sorbitol.
Patients with rare hereditary fructose intolerance problems should not take this medication.
Use within 3 months after first opening.
