The drug contains vitamin C, which is important for the growth and maintenance of healthy bones, teeth, gums, ligaments and blood vessels, for the production of substances involved in the transmission of nerve impulses, for the production of hormones, the absorption of iron from food, normal immune response to infection and wound healing. The human body cannot make vitamin C on its own, so it needs to be supplied to the body.
It is used in adults and children from 3 years of age as a prevention and treatment of vitamin C deficiency in the body:
- To strengthen the body's resistance in infectious diseases such as flu and colds, when taking the vitamin shortens the duration and reduces the severity of the disease.
- In conditions associated with increased consumption of vitamin C - in pregnancy and lactation, in periods of intense growth, in the elderly, in athletes, in excessive physical and mental stress, in conditions after severe injuries, burns and extensive surgery, in smokers.
- As an adjunctive treatment for infections, especially respiratory.
- As a supportive agent in prolonged healing of wounds and fractures, decubital and trophic defects.
Method of use
Dosage and dosage schedules
Adults and children from 3 years
The recommended dose is 1 tablet 1x daily.
In the treatment of hypovitaminosis, higher doses are taken, up to 4 tablets per day, as recommended by a doctor.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women
Usually 1 tablet is taken 1x daily.
Duration of treatment
The recommended length of treatment is not stated.
If any side effect occurs, a doctor or pharmacist should be contacted.
Method of use
The tablet is dissolved in about 150 ml of water just before taking and the prepared drink is drunk.
Notice
In the period of breastfeeding, the recommended dosage should be observed.
The drug is not suitable for children under 3 years of age (due to the sodium bicarbonate content).
Vitamin C taken in higher doses may affect the accuracy of the results of some laboratory tests, especially the urine glucose test and the fecal occult bleeding test. A few days before these tests, it is necessary to discontinue taking the drug.
In high doses, it affects the absorption of vitamin B12.
Store at temperatures up to 25 °C in tightly sealed original inner packaging to protect from light and moisture.
The drug contains 243 mg of sodium per dose. This should be considered in patients on a low-sodium diet.
The drug contains lactose.
