The drug contains the drug clotrimazole, which is an antifungal and is used to treat skin diseases. It acts against many disease-causing fungal microorganisms, including dermatophytes, yeasts and moulds. It also acts on some types of bacteria.

It is used to treat skin and mucous membrane infections that are caused by yeasts, fungi and certain bacteria such as:

• fungal diseases (dermatomycoses); they occur most often in places that are easily steamed (skin folds): between the toes (tinea pedum), in the eyelashes (tinea inguinalis), on the trunk (tinea corporis), on the hands (tinea manuum). They are manifested by redness, itching, sometimes even peeling of the skin, or painful skin cracks may occur.
• pityriasis versicolor; usually appears on the chest or back as peeling, nonpruritic patches.
• erythrasma; manifests as brownish-red, slightly scaly, sharply demarcated nonpruritic patches to areas that may become inflamed or between the toes.
• inflammation of the external genitalia in women (vulvitis); it is manifested by itching, redness, burning, swelling or soreness of the external genitalia.
• inflammation of the glans penis in men (balanitis); manifested by redness and itching of the glans and foreskin, or a foul-smelling discharge from the foreskin sac.

Dosage and dosage schedules

1 g of dermal cream contains 10 mg of clotrimazole

The drug is applied 2-3 times a day to the affected areas in a thin layer. A strip about 0.5 cm long is sufficient for the size of the palm of the hand.
The usual length of treatment is 3-4 weeks for dermatomycoses, 2-4 weeks for erythrasma, 1-3 weeks for pityriasis versicolor and 1-2 weeks for candidosis vulvae and candidosis balanitis.

To achieve complete healing, the cream must be used for at least as long as stated above, even if the symptoms disappear. If there is no improvement after 4 weeks of treatment, further treatment should be consulted with a doctor.

Method of use

Affected areas should be washed and dried before use. The cream is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas. Eye contact should be avoided.

Notice

As a precautionary measure, it is preferable to avoid using the drug during the first trimester of pregnancy.
Breastfeeding should be discontinued during treatment.
The drug is intended for use in adults and is suitable for children from 2 years of age.
Do not use in children under 2 years of age without a doctor's approval.
If the medicine is applied in the genital area (in women to the labia pubis and adjacent external genital areas, in men to the foreskin and glans penis) it may reduce the effectiveness and safety of some latex-based contraceptive methods, such as the condom or pessary. This effect is temporary and only occurs during treatment.
In case of vaginal infection, it is recommended to abstain from sexual intercourse. During the use of this medicine, the infection can be passed on to a partner. The sexual partner should also undergo topical treatment, not only in case of symptoms of infection, thus preventing the occurrence of a possible re-infection.
The product contains cetylstearyl alcohol, which may cause local skin reactions (e.g. contact dermatitis).
Store at temperatures up to 25 °C.
