How to correctly measure the length of the footwear?
Correctly measuring both feet is the first important step to choosing the right shoes!
The following method is the most suitable for measuring foot length:
- place a piece of paper on the floor close to a wall or some steps, and tape it down
- place your foot on the paper with the heel touching the wall
- your toes must always be straight and you should put your weight on the measured foot
- mark the place where the longest toe ends on the paper
- then measure the length of the foot with a ruler
Always measure both feet as one may be longer than the other!

Full brown barefoot shoes from the Slovak manufacturer, Protetika. The shoes are very light. They are gently widened in the thumb area, so they are also suitable for children with a dominant thumb. The sole is barefoot, it is soft, flexible and bendable in all directions. It is slightly raised at the front and back and thus protects the upper from early destruction. The shoes are made of sanded brown leather. The colour of the stitching corresponds to the colour of the leather. Around the ankle there is a piece of smooth leather in the colour of the sole. The shoes are narrower in the ankle area, so they fit even children with narrower ankles. The inside is full leather. The skin has a natural colour. The insole is removable and flat. Fastening is with two Velcro fasteners. The shoes adapt to both higher and lower forefoot.
