Espumisan L drops 30 ml

Indications: Espumisan is a remedy for gastrointestinal discomfort, counteracts bloating and is used as a preparation for diagnostic tests. The drug simethicone, causes the disintegration of gas bubbles in the mass of food and in the mucus of the digestive tract. The gas released by this process is absorbed by the intestinal wall and removed by bowel movements. Use:for the symptomatic treatment of gastro-intestinal discomforts related to gas accumulation, such as flatulence, bloating and a feeling of fullness,in preparation for diagnostic examinations in the abdominal area, such as X-rays and sonography (ultrasound). Difficulties associated with flatulence may also be a sign of functional disturbances in the gastro-intestinal area and are manifested by a feeling of pressure and fullness, a premature feeling of being full, belching, gagging and bloating.

Contraindications: If you are allergic to simethicone or to any of the other ingredients of this medication.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you think you are pregnant, or if you are planning to become pregnant, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. Due to the action of simethicone and its ability to be absorbed from the digestive tract into the body, no adverse effects of Espumisan are expected during use in pregnancy and while breastfeeding. No data are available on the use of simethicone in pregnant women.

Dosage:

Adolescents over 14 years and adults	50 drops (equivalent to 2 ml)	3 to 5 times a day

Espumisan is taken with or after meals, even before napping if needed.

Note: Store in a dark and dry place at a temperature below 25°C, out of sight and reach of children! Follow the recommended dosage and therapeutic regimen.
